Merriman Focus Fund

The Merriman Focus Fund is a special situations long/short “conviction” fund that applies a private-equity-like due diligence process and a highly disciplined approach to valuation and risk. After a rigorous issue selection process, the Fund concentrates its capital in high-conviction positions and relies on stock selection to drive returns, rather than market beta.

The Fund, previously known as Tamalpais Partners, was founded in 2002 by Steven Ledger, who remains the portfolio manager. Ledger brings 25 years of experience as an investment professional, having previously managed two other hedge funds and also serving as a senior investment officer for Kayne Anderson Investment Management. Ledger invests a large portion of his personal assets in the Fund, thereby ensuring that his interests firmly align with the interests of his investors.
